Redmi 12R to launch with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor on June 30 |

Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 12R Pro in April for around $250. It had a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. However, there was no regular version available at that time. But now, the Redmi Note 12R (model number 23076RA4BC) has surfaced on the China Telecom website, and it comes with an improved chipset.

The phone might have a new chip called Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 made by Qualcomm. It could be made on a 4nm Samsung technology instead of the previous 6nm TSMC technology. The phone can have up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and it also has a microSD slot for extra storage.

The carrier shared more info. The 12R has a big 6.79” FHD+ screen (bigger than the 12R Pro’s 6.67” screen). The camera is basic with a 50MP main module and a 2MP helper (similar to the Pro). The phone is 168.6 x 76.3 x 8.17mm and weighs 199g. It has a 5,000mAh battery (charging speed not specified). It has a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

China Telecom confirms the Redmi Note 12R launch on June 30. It might be the first to use Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Here are the China prices: 4/128GB is CNY 1,100($153), 6/128GB is CNY 1,200($167), 8/128GB is CNY 1,600($223), and 8/256GB is CNY 1,800(250$).

The phone will be available in three colorways – Midnight Black, Sky Fantasy, and Time Blue
