Samsung Galaxy M53 revealed with a 108MP camera officially

Samsung Galaxy M53 revealed with a 108MP camera officially. Samsung announced its Galaxy M53 5G which comes with a 108 megapixel main camera as well as a huge 6.7″ 120-Hz super AMOLED Plus screen. If these specs sound familiar, that’s because the M53 is essentially a low-cost model of Galaxy A73 5G (rather than the A53 despite having identical names).

One difference between both Galaxy M53 and A73 is the processor – the M53 is likely powered by the Dimensity 900, not the Snapdragon 778G in smartphones in the series A (“probably” due to the fact that Samsung do not always provide details about the chipset and we must confirm the details by ourselves). Both chips are 6 nanometers (TSMC)

However, the Snapdragon is more powerful due to its processor makeup (4x Cortex-A78-based cores as opposed to. the 2x A78) as well as a stronger GPU. Additionally, there’s only one memory configurationavailable, 6/128 GB, and there are no alternatives for memory or upgrade storage. The microSD slot makes the storage issue less stressful however. There were some cuts taken from the department of camera, too.

The main camera is seated on top of the f/1.8 lens, however, it’s missing the optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Ultra wide cameras have an 8-megapixel lower resolution sensor (down from 12 MP). The two other modules that are on the back include two-megapixel macros as well as two millimeter depth sensor.

The 32-megapixel selfie camera escaped the budget cut without a scratch. It’s punch-holed into the Galaxy M53’s 6.7″ screen, which is a Super AMOLED Plus panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120 refresh rate at 120 Hz.

There’s nothing official about the strengthened glass, however the A73 isn’t equipped with Gorilla Glass (or similar) neither. The fingerprint reader was moved to the left (Power button) however not all will be able to miss the display reader.
