Xiaomi 13 Lite launches with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, island dual front camera. Today, the Xiaomi 13 Lite launched in additional markets. This 12 Lite sequel improves performance and camera. The “light” label indicates a mid-range, yet it costs half as much as a Xiaomi 13. (not to mention the Pro model). The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 gives the new model 20% greater GPU and 30% more AI performance than the Snapdragon 778G in the 12 Lite.

Xiaomi kept LPDDR4X with UFS 2.2 Memory and storage. 8/128GB and 8/256GB are available. MIUI 14—based on Android 12—is preinstalled on the phone. The Xiaomi 13 Lite employs the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor seen in many luxury phones.

The 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0μm pixels (2.0μm with binning) and f/1.8 aperture capture 123% more light than last year’s 12 Lite’s 108MP sensor and f/1.9 lens. The 8MP ultrawide camera (1/4″ IMX355) with 119° field of view and 2MP macro camera seem unaltered from last year. 32MP selfie camera has 8MP depth sensor.

Xiaomi 13 Lite Specification

The duo lives in an island-style display camera hole. The depth sensor will improve the selfie bokeh. The 100° FoV camera automatically frames group shots. The Civi 2 inspired the design, but the hardware is different. The Civi sports a dual 32MP front camera with one 100° lens—20MP ultra-wide camera. Xiaomi 13 Lite sports a 6.55″ curved AMOLED display.

Its 68-billion-color 12-bit panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. PWM dimming at 1,920Hz gives it a usual brightness of 500 nits and a peak of 1,000 nits. 1,080 x 2,400px resolution (20:9), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Curved Gorilla Glass 5 protects it: plastic frame, non-GG glass on the back.

Xiaomi 13 Lite Price and Availability

The phone is IP53 dust and water-resistant. The battery has increased since last year and is nearly as good as the Xiaomi 13. It boasts 4,500mAh (+200mAh over the 12 Lite) and 67W wired charging that can reach 100% in 40 minutes. But, no wireless charging.

Dolby Atmos audio and Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC capabilities round out the list (note: NFC is unavailable in some regions). The Snapdragon X62 modem makes this dual-SIM phone 5G-capable. The new Lite phone is 171g and 7.23mm thick. Launch colors are Light Blue, Lite Pink, and Black. The basic 8/128GB version costs €499 and launches on March 8.
